Wind River Environmental is Hiring a Fleet Manager (FT) Near Sterling, MA
- Hands-on leadership and management of non-exempt repair staff. This will entail providing direct assistance and instruction to subordinates when performing vehicle repairs and executing repairs when warranted.
- Ensure proper safety policies and procedures are in place and followed. Eliminate all hazardous working conditions. Ensure the availability of the correct tools and equipment so maintenance employees so they can do their job safely and efficiently
- Function as a trusted advisor to the location operations managers and Region Vice President of Operations, redeploying fleet assets as necessary and facilitating the resolution of fleet related issues.
- Manage regional third-party maintenance vendors to provide cost-effective and responsive outside repair services
- Ensuring that all Federal, State, and Local DOT, Environmental and OSHA and Safety regulations related to fleet repair and operations are adhered to, to include all related documentation.
- Administer Regional fleet maintenance budget for labor, parts, supplies, and outside repairs.
- Enforce company standards and vehicle operating policies; preparing periodic reports on operating costs; maintaining control over maintenance, collision repair, asset replacement and disposal.
- Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior supervisory experience in a maintenance role is required.
- Prior experience in a vehicle repair role is required. Commercial diesel vehicle repair preferred.
- ASE or OEM Certifications preferred
- CDL Class B is required; CDL Class A is preferred.
- USDOT Medical card will be required.
- Knowledge of USDOT Regulations is required.
- Experience with various welding applications and body fabrication is a plus!
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications -Excel (intermediate), Outlook, Word
- Experience with Fleet software, databases and web programs preferred.
- Strong time-management/organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Maintain a high level of integrity and make ethical decisions
