As our Design Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for assisting design engineers with everyday tasks completing one design improvement project and presenting the outcome to the team at the end of the internship.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Analytical thinker with demonstrated technical and CAD design abilities
• Help Achieve 100% design on-time completion with quality effectiveness for our customers and their high cost-of-failure applications

What will you be Accountable for?

• Create 3D assemblies in CAD software
• Create 2D fabrication drawings and assembly instructions
• Accurate design output consistent with standards
• Accurate Visual entry of engineering data
• Embrace the Winchester culture

How will you Collaborate?

• Work with the Design Engineers to disseminate any design lessons learned
• Actively follow your jobs to production to show you care about your designs and to learn how the design performed.
• Consider designs to be a collaborative effort between us and the customer 
• Have a positive, engaged attitude that's easy to work with and aligns with our culture

What are you Empowered to do?

• Learn how all processes work and how design has an impact on them.
• Delays and critical info should be communicated effectively. 
• Follow your designs through production and solicit feedback from process engineering - support the designs beyond engineering release. 
• Experiment with new areas of Solidworks that may ultimately help the department become more efficient and/or knowledgeable
• Solicit feedback and direction from the Design Engineers to become better
