Senior Audit Associate Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Audit Engagement Assistance:

• Conducts audit engagements under supervision.
• Undertakes small, non-complex audits with responsibilities such as pre-audit scoping, risk identification, and preliminary evaluation of the client's internal control structure.

Audit Planning Support:

• Assists with audit planning procedures, including audit tests, using the firm's methodology.
• Ensures key matters not identified in the planning stage are communicated to the client management team and assists with assessments.

Task Completion:

• Completes allocated tasks to a high standard, meeting reporting and auditing standards.

Financial Statement Preparation:

• Assists with the preparation of simpler financial statements.
• Reviews client-prepared financial statements and other management reports to enhance understanding of various entities and accounting issues.

Work in Progress Monitoring:

• Monitors own Work in Progress (WIP) and ensures a positive contribution to departmental billing.

Client Relationship Building:

• Builds confidence in dealing with clients.
• Develops knowledge for more in-depth tasks and the ability to handle complex engagements.
• Establishes relationships to ensure client retention and growth.
• Builds relationships and promotes the firm at every opportunity to facilitate new business opportunities.
