Job Summary Reports directly to the Wind Facility Manager and will work as part of a team to assure the facility operates with the highest Safety, Health and Environmental standards while achieving maximum performance and profitability. Duties may include working with the facility manager in preparing budgets and reports, working with turbine OEM and other contractors to track and ensure, all planned and corrective maintenance is properly performed, investigation of plant problems, perform routine preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance, inventory control and parts ordering, plant system and program ownership and creation and/or review of plant ownership. Job Description **Relocation Offered** ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assists facility manager in coordinating all activities required under the wind plant O&M agreements and equipment warranties. Manage OEM and contractor activities and manufacturer warranty work. Ensures safety training is up to date for contractors and vendors. Assists in providing detailed information for monthly reporting and responds to and coordinates resolution to equipment malfunctions. Assists in implementing, managing, updating and maintaining plant procedures, site policies, training programs, safety programs and work practices. Manage regulatory compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations and associated permits. This includes all applicable safety, health and environmental regulations. Manage coordinating activities and interaction with scheduling, marketing and local utilities to ensure economic dispatch of facility is achieved. Monitor plant performance, investigate and correct abnormal conditions. Performs periodic environmental and safety inspections, documents and repairs discrepancies. Conducts periodic documented equipment inspections in order to assess needs for maintaining and improving plant reliability and availability. Generates work orders and purchase requisitions. Conducts daily security checks and assists in controlling all access and activities at the wind plant. Conducts planned and corrective maintenance on all Balance of Plant equipment. Manage warehouse and parts program. Ensuring all relevant internal controls are followed and develop new controls as needed. Assist in preparing O&M and Capital Expenditure budgets. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Technical/Vocational Formal training, or apprenticeship is highly desirable. Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong Electrical experience working on/near various voltages ranging from 24V all the way to 35.5kV and working knowledge of 115 kV. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Familiarity with protective relay systems. Knowledge of electrical equipment principals and maintenance practices, and appropriate electrical safety procedures are required. A working knowledge using electrical measuring tools. Performance of maintenance programs utilizing thermal imaging is a plus. Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to aid in troubleshooting maintenance. Familiarity and operating experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition SCADA and/or power plant control and monitoring systems. Must be computer proficient in MS office, Word, Excel, email or similar software. Use of DataStream for CMMS is preferred. Familiarity with managing warehouse and parts inventories. Must have the ability to perform the following frequently: bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, stooping, overhead reaching, sitting, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling. Must have the ability to perform the following occasionally: typing/keyboarding, driving (car/equipment). Working conditions include extreme cold, extreme heat, humid, wet, noise, temperature change, atmospheric conditions. Additional working conditions: Ability to climb 80 meter steel towers. The maximum weight allowed for candidates is 265 lbs due to limitations of associated climbing safety equipment. Frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands, or feel objects, tools, or control. Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and may work at computer monitor or sitting for up to six hours per day.
