Responsibilities:

  • Assist with electrical estimates for all assigned Plan-Spec and Design-Build projects, with emphasis on low-cost installation methods and allowing enough time for a thorough review of estimate by self, peers, and supervision.
  • Fully read and comprehend Request for Proposals, Plans, Specifications, Design Analysis Reviews, and all other Contract documents.
  • Request, collect, and review necessary supplier and subcontractor BOM and quotes. Have full understanding of qualifications and exclusions before making a decision on low-cost / best-value price to use and issuance of PO.
  • Identify and resolve deviations from the proposal, including scope and specifications.
  • Assist Division Manager, Project Managers, and Estimators with write up of technical proposals and pre-qualification packages.
  • Fully prepare project start-up documentation, submittal packages, and supplier / sub-contractor purchase orders.
  • Meet with Estimators, Foreman, and Project Managers to assure a smooth and comprehensive project hand-off.
  • Estimate, prepare, and submit project Change Orders with proper justification of fair market values and labor units. Keep track of approved and disapproved CO’s by updating logs.
  • Work with Foreman and Project Managers to draft and submit pertinent RFI’s, and follow-up to ensure responses are received in a timely manner.
  • Collect, prepare, and submit all necessary project close-out documentation, including as-builts, panel schedules, pictures, O&M’s, warranty letters, and customer satisfaction questionnaires.
  • Assist Management in continued improvement of all estimating and project management platforms.
  • Update logs and continuously meet with supervisors to discuss challenges and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Electrical background preferred not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years relatable experience
  • Knowledge of National Electrical code (NEC) preferred.
  • Complete understanding of commercial and government specifications.
  • Fluency in reading blueprints.
  • Detail oriented individual.
  • Able to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to create spreadsheets, graphs, charts, proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, internet and email, proficient in industry specific software programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
