We are seeking an experienced reading specialist to provide interventional support in literacy for kindergarten students. The reading specialist will primarily plan and implement learning activities targeted to strengthen literacy skills for students working below grade level. In this role, the reading specialist will work with students in small groups or individually. Strong candidates will have experience with DIBELS/m-Class, HMH Into Reading,Heggerty and structured literacy.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Reading Specialist will also be responsible for the following: Assess students across the grade level, multiple times per yearDocument and analyze data to inform instructional groupings and targeted interventionsUtilize diagnostic tools as neededProvide intervention and instructional literacy services both within and outside the classroomServe as instructional leader/resource for teachers and staff in order to support them with assessments and instructionServe as a member of the Student Support Team, as requestedParticipate in Individualized Education Program meetings as requestedOther related duties as assigned
