PurposeProvides technical services in the radiology department/Assist x-ray tech with the following duties.

PurposeProvides technical services in the radiology department/Assist x-ray tech with the following duties.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Push orders, know how to get orders to push if they will not initially
- Check for add-ons throughout day and create new history sheets
- Create history sheets for upcoming days (at least 3 days out)
- Print previous reports pertinent to exam and highlight any information that pertains to exam
- Check to make sure correct exam is ordered with correct amount of time
- Contact patients to make sure correct prep instructions have been given
- Check previous day to make sure exams have been dictates
- Answer phone, know protocols, prep instructions
- Assist with scanning in paperwork and reserving to be read (mark STAT if needed)
- Assist with disinfecting room between exams and stocking supplies
- Order supplies
- Call providers with STAT results
- Make phone calls to verify/change orders
- Contact referral center for any changed orders
- Check patients out after exam (in EPM)
- Print fee tickets if applicable
- Reschedule patients if needed
Required QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Lifting help
- Able to assist during exams
- Chaperone during scrotal ultrasounds
- NextGen experience
- Understanding of basic A&P
