As the part time seasonal Food Services Team Leader, you will recruit, equip, coordinate and support the serving experience for volunteer teams in the Caf and Catering at Willow South Barrington.
You will come alongside volunteers to help them develop and deploy their hospitality gifts as they serve the congregation in a fun, thriving environment.
Providing best in class welcoming and prompt service to all guests will be the top priority for you and your team.
Job Responsibilities
- Available to work weekends and an overall flexible schedule
- Help build volunteer teams and ensure that they are properly trained and equipped for their serving experience
- Assist with the scheduling of volunteers and volunteer teams for weekend, weekday, and special event serving opportunities
- Create a fun environment where the guests and volunteers feel equally cared for and appreciated
- Build one on one relationships with the volunteers in order to develop a true sense of community within the serving teams
- Ensure that service and sanitation standards are always maintained
- Various opening and closing responsibilities including, but not limited to; set up, various POS tasks, cash handling, facility cleaning tasks.
- Provide quality beverages and food products consistently by adhering to all recipes and presentation standards
- Anticipate guest and facility needs by consistently evaluating the environment and guests cues
- Help the Caf manager develop, maintain, and revise guidelines for volunteer training and weekly operating plans
- Assist manager with the ordering, inventory and stocking as needed
- Support and assist the management in all phases of operations and ministry. Attend any meetings necessary and actively participate

- Prior experience using a POS system and leading teams

Education and Experience :
- Prior experience in a food and beverage environment
- Experience leading volunteer or staff teams
- High school education or GED
