Knowledge Management and Innovation Intern - Remote

Summary:

Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for a Knowledge Management and Innovation Intern to support the Knowledge Management and Innovation (KM&I ) Team. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,200 lawyers located in 14 offices in six countries. 

The KM&I Intern will be a member of the KM and Innovation team and will participate in various projects. This role will give you the opportunity to work with KM Content Managers and Innovation Engineers on solutions that that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing through the use of low/no code technologies as well as more advanced AI tools . The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in process improvement, Natural Language Processing and web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Interns will have the ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain confidential information at all times.

The Summer Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience in a law firm environment. Candidates must be willing to commit five days remote for a Summer Internship Monday, June 3 through Friday, August 9.

Responsibilities:

• Design SharePoint out of the box solutions.
• Build workflows using tools like Nintex and Microsoft PowerApps.
• Implement simple web components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Work with others on the integration of Natural Language models.
• Document requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience in web design and development.
• Interest in Machine Learning approaches.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

ADA Requirements:

• Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances.
• Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
• Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals.
• Ability to carry light objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance.

Employment Status: 

• Non-Exempt
• Remote (Monday – Friday)

The hourly pay range for this role is $18 - $21 per hour and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.

Willkie requires personnel in the California or Chicago offices be vaccinated against COVID-19, and if eligible, have received one booster shot, in order to access the Firm’s California or Chicago offices, attend Firm events in California or Chicago or meet in person with other Firm personnel and/or clients in California or Chicago. This position will require physical presence in Willkie’s Chicago/California office(s) on a weekly basis.
