POSITION: Student Employment - Communication Lab

LOCATION: Williston, ND

WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: Must be a WSC student. Must be eligible to work at Williston State College. There is no sponsorship for this position.

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: parttime, non-benefitted.

BACKGROUND CHECK: WSC does require a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to beginning employment.

JOB SUMMARY: Supplemental Instructors (SIs) for the WSC Communication Lab assist students individually, face to face or remotely online via email, to help them improve their written and oral communication skills. These instructors perform activities such as monitoring student progress, identifying areas needing improvement, helping with homework and helping students prepare for tests, occasion clerical or custodial duties are also required. Supplemental instructors offer assistance with public speaking, composition, psychology, sociology, and any other discipline that has a writing component.

The Supplemental Instructor position is part-time hourly and the schedule will be based on the individual’s availability to not conflict with classes or other employment positions during the hours of operation of the Communication Lab

SALARY: $15.00 per hour
