Williamsburg Periodontics is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Williamsburg, VA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, maintaining infection control protocols, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Duties:

- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care

- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)

- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures

- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as taking impressions and pouring and trimming models.

- Maintain infection control protocols, including sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment rooms

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions

- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation using electronic health record systems

- Take and record vital signs of patients

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required

- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology

- Familiarity with dental systems and equipment

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
