Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled third person to join our team. As a Surgical Assistant, you will work closely with the surgeon and other assistants to provide support during surgical procedures. Your role will involve assisting with setting up surgery rooms, monitoring of patients during surgery and recovery rooms .
Duties:
- Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
- Assist with patient recovery and discharge.
- Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon as needed
- Monitor patient vital signs during surgery
- Document patient information and surgical details accurately
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience in dental assisting or related field is a plus
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing systems (e.g., Dentrix, Epic)
- Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
