Development Director - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas (Fayetteville, AR - Hybrid Remote)
As the Development Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff and volunteers in developing and executing strategies to engage donors in our mission through events management and grants while building out new initiatives to increase individual donor and major donor support.
You will lead a team of accomplished professionals, driving the growth of donor revenue and ensuring the success of our fundraising goals. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a background in fundraising, team leadership, events management, and individual giving.
About the Organization
Founded in 1993, BBBSNWA is the largest and most experienced youth mentoring organization in Northwest Arkansas serving Benton and Washington counties. The mission of BBBSNWA is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. BBBSNWA’s evidence-based approach is designed to create positive youth outcomes, including educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors, higher aspirations, greater confidence, and improved relationships.
BBBSNWA serves as a local agency of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America as one of over 230 local agencies serving more than 5,000 communities across all 50 states.
Key Responsibilities
ANNUAL GIVING: Create and manage the development plan and operations to cultivate, solicit, and steward annual donors.
SPECIAL EVENTS: Plan, manage, and implement fundraising and community events.
DONOR RELATIONS: Serve as the face and key contact to key corporate, foundation, and individual donors.
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS: Develop strategies that share our compelling story and drive engagement with our mission.
LEADERSHIP/PLANNING: Provide inspirational leadership to staff and volunteers; and timely strategic support and guidance to the CEO and board of directors.
FINANCE: Help develop financial goals and manage financial performance to hit organizational goals.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, public administration or related field
EXPERIENCE: Five years of fundraising experience
KEY SKILLS: Fundraising, Leadership, Team Management
You will knock us off our feet if you’ve led fundraising teams with successful experience leading events while implementing successful individual giving strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation for this role will be $75,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, PTO, and holiday pay.
Location/WFH
This is a hybrid remote position. Our office is located in Fayetteville. Some travel within the Benton and Washington county service area will be required.
