This position would be trained in our clinic and surgery center.
Job Description:
- Provide friendly and efficient care to meet the patient’s needs whether it be face to face, phone, email or fax.
- Accurately and with attention to detail be able to complete check in and check out of patients.
- Insurance verification and authorizations.
- Collect due co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles and prior balances at the time of the visit
- Responsible for maintenance and accounting of payments collected by the end of the day.
- Schedule return appointments and set up reminder notifications
- May require working at our other location when necessary.
- Identify, research and resolve customer requests.
- Ensures that the practices high standards of patient care are provided to all patients, including follow up with patient and physicians where required.
*Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma
- Working knowledge of Medicare and other Insurance plans
- One or more years of similar health care experience.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office and a computerized scheduling system.
- Be able to work as part of a team and have the communication skills to interact effectively with co-workers and physicians.
- Friendly and warm approach with patients.
- Maintain and clean and organized working environment.
