William S. Hart Union High School District is Hiring a Medical Assisting Instructor Near Santa Clarita, CA

Medical Assistant Instructor
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Open until filled

STARTING DATE: ASAP

PAY RATE:$39.00 per hour (maximum 6 hours per week after school hours between 4:00-9:00)

LOCATION: TBD

THE POSITION:

Under the supervision of the Director of CTE, provide entry-level instruction for students entering the field of Medical Assisting for the Extended Day Program (after school hours only).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide instruction for high school students in Medical Assisting.

- Train students on the skills required for entry into the field

- Participate in advisory board meetings to ensure the curriculum meets industry standards

- Develop online and classroom lesson plans

- Maintain student records, grades, and attendance

-Participate in Professional Development

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Three (3) years of work experience in Medical Assisting or 1 year of work experience in the field and a valid teaching credential

- Possess or be willing to obtain a Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential

- Familiarity with classroom technology preferred (CANVAS, Google Classroom, Infinite Campus)
