William S. Andereck, MD is Hiring a Medical Biller Near San Francisco, CA

We are a dynamic, fast paced Internal Medicine practice seeking a full time Medical Assistant/Biller to join our team. The ideal applicant is a reliable, flexible team oriented problem solver with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Prior experience as a Medical Assistant is required. Prior experience as a Medical Biller/Coder is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities include:

-Answering phones

-Scheduling patients

-Checking patients out after visits and collecting payments

-Medical Billing

-Preparing and submitting insurance claims

-Following up on claims and denials to resolve any billing discrepancies

-Processing patient payments

-Preparing daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports

-Balancing credit cards daily, weekly, monthly and annually

-Maintaining accurate patient records and billing information

-Rooming patients and coordinating patient flow

-Taking patient medical histories

-Recording vital signs

-Performing injections, EKGs and basic lab tests

-Basic office duties and filing

-Utilizing and managing electronic medical records

Applicant requirements:

-Basic computer skills and experience (Mac preferred)

-Experience using electronic medical records

-Exceptional attention to detail

Pay: $22.53 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.00 per week
