William Penn University is Hiring a Campus Security Officer Near Oskaloosa, IA

Position Title: Campus Safety Officer

Department: Student Services

Position Requirements and Preferences:

  • Education Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree in Law Enforcement or related field preferred.
  • Valid Iowa Driver’s License required.

Position Summary:
WPU strives to create a vibrant learning community for all its members, including students, staff, and faculty. To help foster that community, all Security Officers will lead by example and develop others’ leadership capabilities, employ relevant technologies, and actively demonstrate the Quaker virtues of simplicity, peace-making, integrity, community, and equality.

Responsibilities:

  • Patrols campus to assure all University buildings and facilities are secure
  • Enforce University rules, policies, and procedures
  • Monitors security cameras
  • Prepare and maintains shift logs, calls for service, and incident reports.
  • Conduct monthly building fire safety inspections.
  • Identify hazards that pose a threat to students & employees.
