E3 works on high-profile, high-impact projects in jurisdictions that spearhead the implementation of clean energy policy. In California, Hawai’i, and New York, we are advising state agencies and regulators about how to implement clean energy policies with an emphasis on customer incentives and markets. E3 is also expanding its international presence with recent projects in Europe, China, India, and Africa. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Proposal Coordinator plays an essential role in keeping E3 on task and on brand. The position will create and edit content to support internal and external initiatives in a growing, collaborative, and rewarding environment working on high-profile, high-impact projects in jurisdictions that spearhead the implementation of clean energy policy. Working collaboratively with staff throughout the company, you will be responsible for creating and editing content for a wide variety of materials targeted at many different audiences including proposals for RFPs/RFx, marketing materials, business correspondence, white papers, blogs, and other website content.

  • Support the coordination, writing, and submission of proposals for new projects.
  • Maintain and expand internal and external administrative functions including the website, resumes, and summaries of completed projects. 
  • Write and review content on important clean energy topics.
  • Develop and maintain B2B marketing list.
  • Develop, implement, and track marketing outreach to existing and potential business clients. 
  • Coordinate with existing clients on publicity and outreach to increase exposure for completed work.
  • Contribute to activities that convert internal expertise and past experience into new work streams.
  • Assist with internal initiatives as needed. 

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a strong academic record in marketing, communications, public policy, journalism, English or similar liberal arts or energy related field.
  • 0-2 years of prior experience desired specifically communicating on energy and climate change issues and/or demonstrated academic related project work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and assist each member of the team to do their greatest work, aware that each brings different experiences to the table.
  • A strong academic record and prior experience specifically addressing renewable energy and climate change issues are desired. 
  • High fluency in Microsoft Office.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic office environment with other staff.
