Location Information
We are located about an hour west of Winston Salem, an hour and a half northwest of Charlotte, and 45 minutes east of Boone in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina. We are, also, about an hour from the
Virginia line. There are numerous outdoor activities in the area. These include skiing, hiking, mountain biking, boating, fishing, hunting, mountain climbing, horseback riding, camping, etc. Festivals, various markets, and special events are held throughout the year. It is a wonderful community for family with great schools including a community college and several close universities. Our county offers a safe, friendly environment with lots of local color, a rich history, breath-taking beauty and music aplenty! General Clinic Information
The Wilkes Public Health Dental Clinic is a non-profit public health dental practice that has been in business for over 20 years. Our clinic continues to provide affordable, high quality, comprehensive dental services at our “fixed site” in North Wilkesboro with 13 operatories and at our Mobile Dental Clinic with 2 operatories.

Schedule- Work schedules are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, four days per week. The clinic is open Monday through Friday. One team works Monday through Thursday, and the other team works Tuesday through Friday. Our work environment offers professional autonomy, career growth and camaraderie.

EMR and Services- We use Dentrix Enterprise software. A wide variety of services are performed including restorations, root canals, simple and surgical extractions, crowns, partials, dentures, pulpotomies, stainless steel crowns, etc.

Our service area is not limited but mostly includes the eight surrounding counties and Wilkes. Our patients primarily have Medicaid. We also serve patients who have private insurance, self-pay, and we offer a sliding fee scale.
