Patient care technicians (PCTs) are needed in the medical industry because they work behind the scenes to solve technological difficulties that have a substantial influence on patients' lives. Applicants with no prior experience are invited to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in the admission, transfer, and release of the patient
• Provides non-acutely ill patients with basic nursing care within the scope of the Nursing Assistant's practice, including activities to meet their physical and emotional needs.
• Observes and reports on the patient's condition and needs.
• Uses strategies appropriate to the patient's age and physical condition to assist patients with eating and maintaining fluid balance.
• Collects samples, transmits them to the designated department and transfers them there
• Assists medical professionals and nurses in examining and treating patients.
• Accomplishes and documents assignments (such as vital signs, blood glucose levels, meals, intake/output, and so on).
• Maintains equipment; ensures that it is clean and in good functioning condition; ensures that supplies are enough

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate
• Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb
• At least 18 years old
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Proof of COVID vaccination
• Ability to undergo criminal and drug background check
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and perform tasks such as lifting and moving patients
