Duties:

  • Ensure patient identification, order entry, and specimen labeling.
  • Uphold the process of blood draw with accuracy and precision.
  • Prioritize blood draw according to urgency and the patient's physical condition.
  • Maintain the collection area; ensure the cleanliness and sanitization of equipment.
  • Follow hospital policies for test requests, handing out test reports and addressing queries.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient records as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Execute strict compliance with the Quality Assurance parameters.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • knowledge of blood collection techniques, equipment and tools is a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients and their families
  • Ability to operate medical equipment
  • Proof of COVID vaccination
  • Proof of TB test
  • Must be compassionate, patient, and possess strong problem-solving skills
