Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Dental Assistant for our Oral Surgery team. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about Oral Surgery and patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials needed for each procedure
- Take dental x-rays, Panograph & CT / cone beam
- Perform laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, taking impressions and sterile room processing experience required
-Provide Pre-op and post-operative instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
Skills:
- Proficiency with computer systems, preferably WINOMS practice management software and skilled data entry
- Knowledge of dental coding for dental procedures
- Ability to take accurate vital signs
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Excellent infection control practices
- Previous experience as a dental / oral surgery assistant is highly desirable
- Power Point software, videography a plus
- Current DAANCE cerification a plus
