We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Periodontist during procedures and ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients. ```Duties```
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Record patient medical history and vital signs
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and trimming models
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Present treatment plans to patients and talk confidently about patients' finances
```Experience```
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or related field preferred
- Proficiency in medical imaging software (e.g., OpenDental, Dentrix, CAD, Epic)
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and infection control protocols
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Please note that experience with medical records management, or working as a dental receptionist is a plus but not required.
