Description

Position Summary:

The Lead Registration Specialist is responsible for all aspects of patient registration including, but not limited to, scheduling, patient interaction, collecting payments, gathering patient information, data entry and serving as back up to the Registration Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports management in decisions and facilitates a positive working environment
  • Provides guidance and support to registration department when management is unavailable
  • Responsible for all aspects of patient registration, including but not limited to, greeting patients, gathering demographic and financial data, collecting co-pays / past due balances as required
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments and performing many other clerical duties
  • Preparing, sorting and matching documents and records in an organized and timely manner
  • Must be proficient in detail, accuracy and multitasking
  • Builds and adjusts provider clinic schedules as requested by Registration Manager
  • Upholding our Clinics standards for patients by giving them exceptional care and guest service informing patients of procedures, answering questions, and offering assistance. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintains working area as well as lobby area
  • Prepares necessary forms / paperwork for patients
  • Other duties as requested

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, some college preferred
  • 1-2 years registration experience in the medical practice
  • Customer service
  • Computer capable

  • Skill in appropriate documentation and records maintenance.

  • Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
  • Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing or walking may be required.
