The School of Art, Design, and Creative Industries (ADCI) at Wichita State University (WSU) would like to formally invite candidates who are excited about teaching & research to join our growing Graphic Design Department as either a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor or a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Educator. We are excited about candidates who have a continued commitment to professional activity, an understanding of plural design histories, and a passion for excellent teaching; especially with a diverse student body that includes a large population of first-generation students. We are especially seeking candidates who embody a commitment to ethical and inclusive practices in their work and who can bring these approaches into the classroom. New hire(s) would add their areas of expertise to complement current faculty. The most welcome additions practice in Interactive, UI/UX, Motion Design, Design for Social Change, 3D Design, Production Design, and/or other areas of innovation within our graphic design industry.Our new colleague will teach graphic design classes in the undergraduate program, develop new courses as needs arise, enrich the campus through service activities (meaningfully engaging with the broader university), and participate in recruitment activities.
