The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Supply Chain Management, to start in August 2023 or mutually agreed upon date. The successful candidate will be expected to have an active research portfolio and high quality scholarly publications. Priority will be given to candidates with teaching and research interests in supply chain related subjects, including but not limited to: transportation and logistics, supply chain analytics, warehouse management and analytics, and application of emerging technologies in supply chain. The successful candidate will be a faculty member in the department of FREDS (Finance, Real Estate, and Decision Sciences), which offers cross-disciplinary programs in Finance, Management Information Systems, Management Science and Supply Chain, and Business Analytics. The successful candidate will:Teach Supply Chain Management courses primarily at graduate level using various instructional deliveries (e.g., traditional (face-to-face), hybrid, hyflex, and fully online)Foster applied learning into the course design and engage with industry and local business community in applied projectsAdvance knowledge through scholarly activities (e.g., quality research publications, conference presentations, etc.)Apply and obtain funded research opportunitiesParticipate in different service activities (e.g., active involvement in committees, student mentorship, recruitment and retention initiative, outreach activities, etc.)
