Job Title: Construction Superintendent
This is a full-time on-site role for a Construction Superintendent in the Knoxville Metropolitan Area, with Whitson Construction Co., Inc.
The Superintendent’s role is to supervise trades on site and insure their compliance with plans, specs, and safety requirements. The Superintendent must work hand in hand with the Project Manager to complete on time and on budget projects.
A brief sample of the responsibilities includes:
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Generate daily reports
- Conduct safety meetings, actively participate in progress meetings with architect
- Communicate timeframe with subcontractors when their services are required onsite
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow and implement safety protocols
- Adhere to building codes and regulations
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Candidates must be able to work both independently and as part of a team to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Experience:
- Construction: 10 years (Preferred)
- Site Superintendent: 5 years (Preferred)
Education: High school or equivalent
Work Location: Multiple locations of the Knoxville area
Requirement: Must have Valid Driver’s License
