Job Summary
The RN for Ambulatory Surgery Center in Richmond, IN, 47374 is responsible for providing nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in an outpatient setting. The RN will work closely with the surgical team to ensure that patients receive safe and effective care throughout their surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Administer medications and anesthesia as ordered by the physician
- Assist with positioning and preparing patients for surgery
- Monitor and document vital signs and other patient data
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting
- Experience in perioperative nursing preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
