Security Guards and On Call Event Security (Sonoma County based) - $21-25/hour

We are looking for experienced Security Guards who can be On-Call for our Sonoma County based contracts. These shifts will pay $25 per hour due to the on-call nature. Please note that for regularly scheduled unarmed shifts, the pay rate will be $21/hour.

Shifts will be in Sonoma County and can be any time of day (day, swing, graveyard). Must be able to work all shifts. To be considered, candidates must have an active Guard Card, be at least 18 years of age, have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check.

As a Security Guard, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more. We serve the most vulnerable populations in Sonoma and Napa Counties. Therefore, the ideal candidate is customer service focused and has some basic understanding of trauma-informed care. Attention to detail is a must. Our shifts are varied, active and require adept individuals who can think quickly on their feet.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a California Guard Card (or be in the process of obtaining your guard card)*
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Whitestar Group will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Starting pay is $25 per hour for On-Call Security. Please note that for regularly scheduled unarmed shifts, the pay rate will be $21/hour.
