WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Psychiatric Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Glen Falls NY.

Job Function:

• Gauging patients' psychiatric states.
• Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans.
• Administering psychotropic and similar medications.
• Keeping patient morale up by providing a positive therapeutic relationship
• Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens.
• Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
• Restraining, consoling, and sometimes medicating highly unsettled patients.
• Documenting patients' health journeys and reporting on notable alterations.
• Conducting targeted psychoeducation, particularly within families.

Job Requirements:

• COVID vaccinations not required, however strongly encouraged
• Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Heath Unit experience
• Experience with Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Patients
• Experience with de-escalation of agitated patients
• De-Escalation Training of any kind, CPI or NAPPI/Welle Certifications
• Cerner experience
• BLS certification
