Whitebirch, Inc and its subsidiary Breezy Point International, Inc. dba Breezy Point Resort is seeking a self-starting and detail orientated Staff Accountant who works well in a team environment, shows drive, willingness to learn and expand responsibilities. This position will provide administrative support to the Accounting Department for Resort operations. This is a part time year-round position that offers great resort discounts and Minnesota Sick and Safe Time.

Work days are Monday through Friday with the flexibility to work your own hours as agreed by the Accounting Manager.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the accounting functions relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the related managerial reports and finance statements.

Resort Accounting Responsibilities:

• Researches and resolves accounts receivable issues
• Enter data in the accounting databases
• Create and prepare monthly journal and recurring entries
• Balance bank accounts and bank reconciliations 
• Answers questions from other departments regarding various accounting issues and reports
• Balance balance sheet accounts
• Print monthly financial statements 
• Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals (GAAP)
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and be able to create spreadsheets and formulas
• Must have 2 years of accounting experience or a 2 year degree in Accounting
• Must be willing to undergo a background screening for this position
