Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of work including the maintenance of production machinery, minor plumbing, minor electric, repairing appliances, carpentry, and repair of buildings and grounds in assigned area(s). Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by WORS location based on business requirements and needs.
· As a Maintenance Technician, you'll use your skills to perform maintenance on:
o Production Machinery
· welding machines
· pumps
· overhead cranes
· pressure washers
· cutting torches
· hoist
· overhead doors
o Will troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs or recommend replacements.
o Will perform some plumbing such as:
· repairing toilets
· fixing leaks
· installing new sinks
· faucets
· toilets
o Will perform some carpentry such as:
· painting
· building
· installation of doors
· drywall repair
o Minor Electric such as:
· changing out outlets
· switches
· light fixtures
o May repair, diagnosis, or replace appliances including:
· refrigerators
· stoves
· dishwashers
· garbage disposal
· ice machines
· Maintains a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward co-workers.
· Adaptable to change in the day, week, and projects.
· Repairs various fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, minor appliances, office equipment, etc.
· Inspects assigned area on a routine basis and performs maintenance as needed to keep the facility in functioning and serviceable condition.
· Complete daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedures.
· Reports on any major maintenance need and recommends corrective action as appropriate.
· Demonstrates efficient and safe use of equipment and tools.
· Adheres to WORS safety policies and procedures.
· Inspect buildings for safety and compliance with building codes.
· Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
· Order parts and supplies as needed following established procedures for purchasing.
· Must have own tools, except specialty tools.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Troubleshoot equipment issues with minimal supervision
· At least 2 years of experience repairing Production Machinery
· At least 2 years of experience repairing appliances
· At least 2 years of experience working in carpentry
· At least 2 years of experience performing minor electric repairs
· At least 2 years of experience performing minor plumbing repairs
· Familiarity with industrial mechanics and precision measuring instruments
· Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
· Clean driving record
