Title: Server – Lounge
Reports to: Lounge Manager/ Store Manager
Classification: Hourly / Non-Exempt
Status: Part-time
Compensation Range: $17-$19

Summary of Position:
Our servers are responsible for assisting guests in all aspects of their purchase. The majority of time is spent ensuring the lounge is clean at all times. This includes cleaning all hardware and making sure it is properly sanitized. Electronic hardware should be charged and ready at any given time. In addition to cleaning, lounge servers are expected to entice non members to become members. The server needs to be passionate about creating an exceptional experience for our guests. They offer personalized consultations and provide exceptional guidance with education and transparency on all products.

Servers are expected to:

• Provide a consistent friendly and warm welcome to all.
• Introduce first time lounge visitors to the Wheelhouse culture through thoughtful communication, comprehensive product knowledge and maintaining high visual presentation standards.
• Drive repeat business through local grass roots networking and our loyalty program.

Additionally, this person must have a pleasant and outgoing personality and embrace S.H.I.N.E. (Smile, Hello, Introduce, Name, Engage) with each and every person they come in contact with. A positive attitude is expected from all Wheelhouse employees

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Thorough understanding of the cannabis industry & products
• Ethical conduct
• Maintain a positive mindset and attitude regardless of situations that arise
• Ensure stations and tables are ready to go at venue opening time
• Maintain fully stocked and clean stations at all times
• Assist with running side work, stocking, and cleaning during any and all downtime
• Ensure opening and closing cleaning and organization checklist is completed
• Participate in periodic all-staff cleanings and staff meetings
• Maintain proper cash-handling procedure at all times
• Ensure all guests are greeted as they arrive and wished farewell on upon their departure
• Ensure all guests/patients receive excellent customer service (SHINE)
• Inform the Lounge Manager if any product inventory is running low in the lounge
• Be knowledgeable of any specials including in house daily deals and lounge specific promos, deals, events.
• Participate in staff events, outings and promotional events
• Remain familiar with industry compliance and regulatory requirements as applicable to retail operations
• Knowledgeable on all cannabis products carried
• Knowledgeable on cannabinoids, terpenes, and methods of cannabis consumption as it relates to sales of cannabis products and their safety
• Reception of the guests, including profile creation or updates
• Ensure each guest receives your full attention during their transaction
• Keep all personal items off the sales floor/Lounge floor at all times
• Ensure you are on time for each and every shift
• Ensure your uniform is clean and you have all tools at your station prepared for your shift. (Shirt, Tie, Apron, Badge, Radio, Dark pants, non-slip shoes etc.)

• Perform other duties or projects as assigned by any other Shift Lead, Manager or Supervisor. Ensure 100% compliance with all Company policies and laws, including health and safety standards

Job Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.

• Must be 21 years of age or over
• Passion for Cannabis (Willingness to learn continuously)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with customer service in retail
• Sales experience in a retail environment
• Strong math skills
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word
• Must be able to workdays, nights, holidays and weekends
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Experience working in a team orientated environment
• Able to adherence to the Department of Cannabis Control.
• Must have reliable transportation

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant experience and/or training (Preferred)
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

• Valid California Driver's License- (Preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time
• Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time
• Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds safely and properly
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop or lift multiple times per shift
• Must have the ability to lift overhead up to 20 pounds in weight on a semi regular basis
