case statuses promptly.

Supporting Eligible Families with Enrollment in Child Care:

About the Community Childcare Connection:

Childcare is a vital support for parents and caregivers – it helps them to pursue employment, education,

and stable housing while knowing their children are cared for in a developmentally appropriate setting.

However, for many in NYC, childcare can be unaffordable. That’s why WHEDco is partnering with New

York City government to expand access to childcare assistance, which helps families cover the cost of

care; in the City’s highest need areas through the Community Childcare Connection (C4) initiative.

Through this project, WHEDco will build awareness among family-serving partner organizations and

community members about the availability of childcare assistance; help likely-eligible caregivers apply

for support; and connect hundreds of families to subsidized childcare

WHEDco affords all qualified applicants equal employment opportunities without discrimination

because of race, creed (religion), color, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, military status, age,

disability, predisposing genetic characteristic, marital status or domestic violence victim status, or any

other category protected by law. WHEDco follows the requirements of the New York Human Rights Law

with regard to non-discrimination on the basis of prior criminal conviction and prior arrest.
