We currently have an opening for a CAD designer for one of our customers in Sterling Heights, the rate of pay is $24-$25/hr.

Job Duties

• Design, development and delivery of sub-systems and components from initial concept to production release.
• Maintain clean, organized 3D models and assemblies.
• Knowledge of rapid prototype methodologies.
• Collaborate daily within the design team, specifically with fellow engineers/designers to obtain the best final product/design.
• Read drawings and translate into 3D CAD models.
• Measure parts and translate them into 3D CAD models.
• Create engineering BOM’s.
• Revise drawings as required through detailing, manufacturing, or field changes.
• Develop cost effective, standardized designs.
• Support project, departmental, and business objectives for design direction, quality, budget and schedule.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience and proficiency with designing and detailing of mechanical systems.
• Experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
