Westside Family Health Center (WFHC) is a nonprofit community clinic dedicated to providing high quality, low
cost healthcare to more than 13,000 women, men and children. Founded in 1974, WFHC is a Federally Qualified
Health Center with 50 employees and volunteers. We’re currently seeking a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner

Position: Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner
Primary Responsibilities:
WHNP provides compassionate and personal medical care to patients. This position would work independently
but serve as a team member within the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model of health care delivery,
will facilitate and manage full spectrum of professional and patient care activities within the scope of practice, and
collaborate with the supervising physician in the provision of patient care.
Responsibilities include well-woman annual exams, birth control counseling and management, menopausal
symptoms, vaginitis, abnormal uterine bleeding, prenatal appointments, and other general gynecologic concerns.
The position would primarily focus on gynecology prenatal care as needed, but the applicant must have the ability
to provide family planning and sexually transmitted infection diagnosis and treatment for all patients. Perform
medical procedures within credentials and scope of practice. Procedures may include, but are not limited to,
colposcopy exams, biopsies, Intrauterine Device (IUD) insertion, contraceptive rod insertion, and Incision and
Drainage (I & D). Promotes preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health
behaviors, and self- care skills through education and counseling.
Corporation (NCC) and possess a current, permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice as a
Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. License cannot be under investigation nor have any adverse action
pending from a State Board or national licensing/certification agency.
Education: A master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
