About the Role

We need an expert Operational Excellence Process Engineer to join our WEX Enterprise Transformation Office.

You'll be charged with supporting multiple quality and process improvement projects across WEX, enabling us to evolve how we work. You're ready to take on the responsibility of partnering with key leaders to enable us to simplify the way we work with a focus on delivering exceptional customer and consistent employee experiences. This position is a key enterprise role for quality and process improvement, and will partner with businesses and functional areas throughout WEX to drive overall operational maturity. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide strategic thought leadership and support for high-visibility enterprise quality improvement initiatives and applying skilled change management.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential, as the candidate will need to interface and influence business leaders, while providing ongoing communication to remove barriers to process improvement and ensure necessary support.

  • Process Improvement Expertise: The candidate should be capable of identifying and directing the implementation of process improvements that significantly enhance quality and facilitate growth across the organization.

  • Change Management: Skilled in change management, the candidate should be able to lead continuous improvement projects that optimize business operations and enhance quality.

  • Visionary Leadership: The candidate should possess the ability to translate complex initiatives into clear value propositions with a well-defined vision and unambiguous communication.

  • Training and Coaching: Proficiency in training and coaching resources throughout the organization on process engineering tools and methods.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to evaluate and streamline key operational processes.

  • Simplification and Synergy: Capable of identifying opportunities for simplification and synergies within processes.

  • Drive execution of Lean principles and related initiatives, such as Kaizen events, to improve quality processes and operational efficiency.

  • Lead enterprise-level process improvement programs that deliver significant value to the business in terms of revenue, efficiencies, and customer satisfaction.

  • Implement industry best practices across various disciplines within the WEX business.

  • Deploy tools and metrics to enhance visibility into operational health and lean performance.

  • Perform cost/benefit analysis on proposed project solutions, analyze complex performance data for business value, and create and track key metrics to measure success.

  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization to identify and implement process improvements, establish key performance indicators, and clarify business operations.

Experience You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in areas such as quality management, process engineering, organizational change management, project & program management.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and communicate effectively across multiple functional groups.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
