Position Summary:
Investigates and writes reports on allegations of abuse and neglect or suspicions of inappropriate activity or unknown injuries. Fulfils position duties using value-based principles in relationships with clients/co-workers/others, conducting daily activities in a manner consistent with the values and mission of Westside Habilitation Center.
Position Qualifications:
Education/Training:
Bachelors preferred in Human Services field
Successful completion of internal orientation
Experience:
Program Specialist or QIDP experience preferred
Public speaking, training, and writing skills necessary
Supervisory experience necessary
Requirements:
- Must be able to conduct two-way communication effectively in both oral and written form.
- Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel
-Communicates with the Administrator and Assistant Administrator
- Supervise Evening QIDP Department
- Reviews all incident reports including detailed reports of unexplained injuries submitted by nursing staff
- Maintains Human Rights Investigation files and other records
- Fulfils position duties principles of value-based relationship with co-workers and stewardship of resources to strengthen Westside's mission
- Completes Human Rights investigations with due diligence and accuracy according to Westside's policy and regulated agencies requirements
- Schedules and hosts Human Rights Committee meetings
- Submit timely investigation report to Administrator for review
- Report appropriately to the State's website SIMS
-Present recommendations to the Administrator on appropriate disciplinary actions and retraining
- Communicate with Human Resource of decisions, appropriate actions, and advises if in-service training is needed
- Utilizes approved techniques for management of aggressive client behavior to ensure the safety of clients and staff
- Current EPR - Emergency Protective Restraints training during orientation and yearly
- Current CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - Renewed every two years
