Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. Westshore Electronics is a small family owned business with less than 50 employees. We operated state of the art equipment and place a high value on a positive company culture, manufacturing expertise, and a growth oriented enviornment. As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This is a key role that requires strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to effectively manage financial operations. Duties:
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Oversee the general ledger accounting and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required
- Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets and forecasts
- Manage AP, AR, cash flow and manage banking relationships
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes
- Process weekly payroll using ADP Run and ensure timely payment of employees.
- Manage Fixed Assets and depreciation
- HR administration (Employee Navigator experience is a plus). Oversee Purchasing functions.
Skills:
- Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of corporate accounting principles
- Proficiency in using ERP and accounting software. Global Shop and Access experience is preferred.
- Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex financial data
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements
- Experience in payroll management and AR collections
- Ability to perform general ledger accounting tasks, including debits/credits and balance sheet reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Salary contingent on relevant experience.
