Position Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

The Westport Board of Education will hire a strong educator to serve as an Assistant Principal at Coleytown Middle School. Defining attributes of this individual must include:

• At least five (5) years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience in a school setting including demonstrated leadership in improving instruction, program development, staff development and evaluation;
• Experience with the RTI process and facilitating Section 504 meetings preferred;
• Knowledge of middle school students' academic, social and emotional development;
• Well-versed in exemplary educational practices;
• Highly capable of leading in a high-performing school-community; and
• Connecticut Intermediate Administrator certification (092).

Salary: Per Westport Intermediate Administrators Agreement - (2023-2026) Secondary Assistant Principal (261 days: $175,305 - $190,749)
