Position Summary:

Assist physicians in the physiological monitoring of patients and the preparation of drugs, fluids, anesthetic and equipment ancillary to operative intervention of other procedures requiring anesthesia; set up, operate and maintain monitoring and anesthesia equipment. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.

Experience

Required: 1 year in the anesthesia technician role in acute care or ambulatory surgery environment

Preferred: 2 years’ experience as an anesthesia technician

Certifications

Preferred: Anesthesia Technician.

REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training or the Military Training Network
