Weston Foods in Lebanon, Indiana is looking for a Quality Assurance Resource Auditor to join our team!

Shift: 2-2-3 schedule- 6:00 A.M.- 6:00P.M. with and hourly rate of $24.45/hr.

Job Responsibilities - What You Would Do

 
  • Investigates and analyzes product or raw material quality problems and develops, recommends, implements corrective measures as necessary. 

  • Audits sample data taken for use in the implementation of the plant’s IPM (Integrated Process Management) System. 

  • Identifies process problems through the use of statistical analysis. 

  • Suggests and implements corrective measures to improve the manufacturing processes.

  • Records and communicates results through reports and meetings.

  • Monitors incoming raw materials to ensure materials meet our specifications.

  • Ensures compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards as well as HACCP compliance and other food safety and workplace safety initiatives.

  • Support activities of other departments such as Production, Dry Warehouse, and Sanitation through auditing.

  • Communicates with other departments to ensure that substandard product is identified. 

  • Ensures that substandard product is not packed and/or shipped and that it is disposed of as waste, rework or thrift inventory.

  • Assists in the development of standards and procedures for new and existing products. 

  • Continuously strives to improve processes to eliminate waste.

  • Leads and contributes to the efforts of Continuous Improvement Teams. 

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Adheres to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards as well as HACCP compliance and other food safety and workplace safety initiatives

  • Physical Demands

  • Occasionally required to push up to 30 pounds.

  • Frequently required to stand and walk and work while rotating at the thoracic and lumbar spine and reach between knee and shoulder height.

  • Constantly required to grasp, handle, and maintain balance.

  • Occasionally exposed to non-weather related hot temperatures.

  • Able to hear and listen for alarms that indicate completion of the baking cycle.

  • Able to see, visually inspecting cupcakes to determine if cakes are over- or under- baked.

  • Able to smell, distinguishing and detecting the smell of over-cooked cakes.

  • Able to work safely in tight spaces in an industrial environment and wear required PPE, including heat protectant gloves.

  • Regular, dependable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.

  • Working effectively as a team contributor on all assignments, demonstrating the ability to multitask and plan several events simultaneously and to work under pressure.

  • Working independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
