Full-time Day Shift Opening - 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Essential Functions
- Receive and follow floor care schedule and instructions from the Resident Environmental Supervisor; spot clean, bonnet buff, and extract carpets as necessary.
- Strip, wax, machine scrub and dry tile floors, as necessary.
- Assure storage room is clean and equipment and supplies are properly stored at all times.
- Keep the work areas free of hazardous conditions, including spills, excess materials, etc.
- Follow and maintain established procedures so that the highest degree of safety and sanitation is maintained at all times.
- Report all equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to the Resident Environmental Supervisor immediately.
- Assist in distribution and hanging of drapes and cubicle curtains.
- Move furniture to ensure thorough cleaning of carpet.
- Provide floor care in all vacant apartments (resident’s rooms), including cleaning and extracting carpet and tile floors, prior to move-in by residents.
- Clean light covers in the hallways and elevators of all areas of campus.
- Assist housekeeping and laundry staff as requested by the Resident Environmental Supervisor.
- Attend meetings and participate in committees as requested.
- Attend and participate in workshops and seminars to enhance skills as well as to maintain a professional status.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as directed by the Resident Environmental Supervisor.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience is preferred.
