Office Administrative Assistant

Westminster Presbyterian Church in Berkeley Heights is seeking an Office Administrator to work part time, hours can be flexible. 3 days per week from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM. $20 per hour.

Job Summary

Provide guidance and support to the current congregation and other members of the public for all office needs, including church events, church records, and schedules. Provide administrative support to the Pastor as necessary. Respond to emails and phone calls accordingly to create a welcoming and professional environment.

Responsibility and Duties

Duties are to assist the Pastor and the congregation daily, preparing of the weekly bulletin on Publisher, assembling and editing the weekly newsletter, creating and editing slides on PowerPoint for the Sanctuary projector, ability to update the website, familiarity with office equipment: print, copy, fax email correspondence. Sorting of mail, ordering of supplies, greeting visitors, compiling, copying, and publishing the Annual Report for the church officers. Flexible with hours to support the Church during holidays and events, assisting the Nursery School Director and setting up Zoom meetings.

Qualifications and Skills

Professional administration experience. MS Office, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, knowledge of social media, Wix website builder and Zoom. If you would like to be considered for this job, please send your resume.
