Responsible To: Facilities Director
Observable Actions: The Custodian shall exhibit integrity as a Christian role model, striving for continuous improvement in the job requirements and exhibiting all related skills in the areas below:
Responsibilities:
Ensure that assigned facilities are neat, operational, and properly maintained
Be available on-site during the assigned work shift
Follow a daily, prescribed job/task plan
Make recommendations to the Facilities Director for improvements in procedures and practices
Perform repair and non-routine tasks as assigned by the Facilities Director
As directed, orders routine supplies and services
Respond appropriately to needs of faculty and staff members in assigned areas
Work on assigned projects during the summer and extended school breaks
Available for duties not previously mentioned which are considered necessary by the Facilities Director
Seek and/or accept the counsel of the Facilities Director, while maintaining a teachable attitude
Personal Accountability:
Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality
Meet everyday stress with emotional stability, objectivity, and optimism
Develop and maintain rapport with staff by treating others with friendliness, dignity, and consideration.
Show respectful and faithful submission to constituted authority
Maintain a personal appearance that is a role model of cleanliness, modesty, good taste, and in agreement with school policy
Recognize the need for good public relations. Represent the school in a favorable and professional manner to the constituency and general public
Attend regularly and faithfully support a local church whose fundamental beliefs are in agreement with the WCA Statement of Faith
Requirements
Willingness to commute to both WCA campuses as needed
Communication skills
Ability to interact with others
Ability to read and write
Possess basic arithmetic skills
Ability to operate lawn/outdoor equipment
Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
Ability to work diligently unsupervised
