Description
Western Wisconsin Health is looking for a full-time Quality Specialist (1.0 FTE) to serve in two functions, Medical Staff Credentialing and Patient Quality Experience.
The Medical Staff Coordinator oversees the privileging, credentialing, and recredentialing of all providers engaged in services at WWH. They will assist with state inspection preparation for the medical staff/leadership function, including staff and medical staff education regarding accreditation standards. The work closely with medical staff leaders, medical center administration, and risk management regarding medical staff and bylaws issues.
The Patient Quality Experience Specialist analyzes patient experience feedback and performance data to identify improvement opportunities. They work directly with patients to resolve concerns, complaints, and grievances, and serves as a point person for the organization to assist patients, staff, teams, and leaders in working through experience related feedback or problems. They work within the Quality Department team to coordinate organizational quality improvement efforts. They provide quality improvement training, facilitates teams, and assists in the data collection methods, data analysis, and selection of improvement strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare discipline, or business administration
  • 2 years healthcare experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 years credentialing and privileging experience
  • Licensure in a related field
  • CPHQ certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic medical records
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently
  • Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information
  • Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards
  • Clinical experience of work processes in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently
  • Strong computer skills and interest in technology
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills

Work Schedule:
  • 1.0 FTE - 80 hours per biweekly pay period
