Western Valley Meat Company is Hiring a HR Compliance Administrator Near Fresno, CA

SCOPE OF ROLE:

The HR Compliance Administrator will assist the site HR Manager and HR VP in keeping our HR Department compliant with both federal and state laws through establishing and enforcing process controls, best practices, ethical standards, weekly/monthly/quarterly audits, lead supplier specific audits, attendance control program, department metric reporting, and retention programs. This position will assist in implementing and coordinating the compliance functions throughout company and support other sites as a SME for HR policies & procedures. The HR Compliance Administrator will use knowledge and skills obtained through education, specialized training and/or certification to assist the HR Manager and HR VP in supervising a comprehensive compliance and oversight programs designed to ensure process standardization in compliance with all applicable federal/state local laws.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain, track locations, and update labor law postings in specified locations (visible to all salaried and hourly employees, visitors, customers and applicants). When applicable, postings in additional languages. Monitors are acceptable and must be legible.

· Lead and provide recommendations on process improvement in all aspects of HR compliance related policies, procedures and/or processes across the organization. Develop these policies in collaboration with HR Manager and HR VP

· HR compliance auditing (various disciplines within the department)

· Stay abreast of all employment, labor and regulatory changes and ensure applicable HR systems, policies, handbooks, documents, and trainings are updated.

· Oversee the annual updates of all policies and procedures by partnering with other stakeholders and policy content owners (safety, fleet, finance, etc.) to ensure that policies and procedures are refreshed and reflect current regulatory requirements

· Maintain the policies in a centralized and accessible location for all employees to view

· Process, track and ensure compliance for workers' compensation and applicable LOA in Paycom

· Provide verification, guidance and training compliance for I-9s and background check processes including adverse action letters

· Regular HR Compliance reporting - working with demographics data reports to ensure we have accurate view into compliance and employee data as needed; filing annual reporting such as EEO-1, VETS-4212, FHWA 1391s, etc., Annual renewal of Affirmative Action Program and other required reports in a timely manner

· Help ensure the integrity of data in our various systems and perform regular data audits to capture discrepancies and remedy

· Manage and maintain C/TPA of the drug and alcohol programs, including but not limited to pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable cause testing requirements

· Manage and maintain all employee files and records in compliance with federal, state and local laws, including maintenance of Form I-9s, disciplinary files, and other relevant records

· Ensure compliance with employee background check and applicable credit history reports process and records

· Conduct payroll/timekeeping audits, Wage and Title, I-9, LOA’s, Hiring Practices, Exemption Status, Pay Class, and other to ensure uniformity across multiple sites

· Conduct miscellaneous reports as needed for state reporting

· Lead and participate in HR related trainings plant wide – State, company and leadership training

· Assist with weekly and monthly department reporting

· Cross train to provide backup for payroll and benefit administration processes

· Adherence with all state and federal guidelines to ensure the highest level of compliance

· Maintain documented efforts relating to current and previous year AAP, and ACA efforts

· Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management

Preferred Qualifications:

· BS degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Management or equivalent years of experience in a similar HR capacity

· Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws with previous experience working within multiple states

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities and to work in a team environment in a professional manner

· Demonstrated organizational skills; detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize; proven ability to work well in a team and adapt to changes in environment

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; public speaking skills and ability to present information to groups in various settings

· Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed

· Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends

· Experience using Microsoft Office (MS Excel- Charts and pivot tables, Word, & PowerPoint)
