Support highly functional, secure, scalable, and robust software solutions from the product ideation stage to production deployment through collaboration with product owners and architects, Test Engineers, Dev-Ops, and Operations. Perform full-stack development including contribute to the design of backend DBs and queries. Perform API creation and consumption and contribute to front end UI development. Take ownership and responsibility for one or more applications in a solution. Provide application architecture and design artifacts and conduct design reviews. Present solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Take a hands-on role in influencing development activities, architecture decisions, participate in designs, design review, code review, and implementation. Analyze existing software for Usability and Accessibility issues and provide recommendations for improvement. Participate in Test Driven Development. Ensure the product adheres to architecture standards, risk management standards, and security policies and can take on the DEV lead for the scrum team. Salary Range: $139,464 to $179,687 per year.
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of professional experience as a Software Developer, Systems Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving software architecture solutions.
Must also have the following special skills:
5 years of professional experience utilizing Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, React, JavaScript, CSS, Jenkins, and Microservices; 5 years of professional experience consulting with project teams and functional units on the design of projects or services; 5 years of professional experience supporting existing business systems applications and building financial apps, mobile apps, Transaction, Payment, Risk and Compliance functions; 5 years of professional experience aligning application development with business needs; and 5 years of professional experience performing application integration, maintenance, upgrades, and migration.
Referral Bonus - $1,000 (Subject to Employee Referral Policy). Eligible to internal employees only.
Annual base salary gross: $139,464 to $179,687 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union’s total compensation package for employees.
