AMDs Datacenter Ecosystems & Application Engineering (DEAE) team is looking for a self-driven Application Workload Architect expert to join our team to enhance solutions and elevate customer experience with AMD EPYC Server Processors. As an Application Workload Architect, you will be responsible for enhancing the performance of AMD based solutions, create/test/document architectural designs that can support Application Workload ability to leverage and deliver scalable, secure, reusable, and performant solutions on AMD EPYC based servers. Solutions will be developed in collaboration with customer and partner teams with a goal of enhancing customer experience with AMD's EPYC Server Processors.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Collaborate with AMD technical architects, Field Engineers, Partners and Customers to understand, map, describe application performance on AMD EPYC

* Build and publish Application Centric workload and platform requirements

* Enhance open source and other code to collect workload and platform profiles to enable continuous optimized AMD operations

* Leverage Benchmark performance data to create resources for customers to use

* Provide technical mentorship to engineers on how Application Architecture leverages full stack services and how to drive AMD capabilities

* Understand and present technical status updates to top management, peers, and engineering teams

* Give innovative technical insight to development strategies, priorities, and approaches

A successful candidate will employ established Software Defined Data Center concepts, system software and solution design expertise, technical leadership, horizontal management, and well-honed organization skills across multiple teams and companies to ensure on-time delivery of product goals and robust solutions. Candidates must possess the technical proficiency, seasoned presentation skills, and interpersonal confidence to clearly represent design ideas, complex problem descriptions and innovative solutions with experienced internal and external audiences

**Preferred Experience**

* Deep understanding of Application Architecture fundamentals

* Deep understanding of Software Defined Datacenter practices

* Deep understanding of System Performance tuning

* Strong analytical skills and debug methodology expected

* Strong organization and communication skills with a proven track record of end-to-end project delivery

* Experience in Bare Metal, Virtual, Cloud and Container based solutions architectures

* Experience in data architectures to gather, analyze and automate collection of full stack data

* External Customer engagement skills preferred

* 15 years of experience

**Academic Credentials**

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field

* Master's Degree preferred
