Western & Southern Financial Group is Hiring a Remote Insurance Sales Representative (Work from Home)

Overview

 

The licensed sales representative will sell Gerber Life Insurance products direct to consumer from various lead sources including, but not limited to, DRTV, direct mail, internet, partnership marketing and existing GLIC customers. The sales representative is responsible for taking care of the initial call driver and cross-selling other Gerber Life products as needs of the customer are developed. From time to time, an Insurance Sales Representative will handle service calls as they come in through the sales lines or as needed to help reduce service call volume. This position is fast paced and demands sharp sales skills in order to identify and sell to the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities

 
  • Sells Gerber Life products directly to consumers from various lead sources, including direct response television ads (DRTV), direct mail, internet, partnership marketing and existing Gerber Life customers. Serves our customers at the highest level, based on the needs of the customer, which may include various types of sales and service functions, since a portion of our marketing efforts drive service calls into the Contact Center. This position is fast-paced and demands sharp sales skills and product knowledge in order to identify and sell to address the needs of our customers and to provide excellent customer service.

  • Identifies customer needs and the value of our products through great conversations. Sales representatives are expected to make recommendations that address the customer’s needs, while also promoting business growth and goal achievement.

  • Responsible for inbound and outbound sales and service call processing, completing new insurance applications by keying information into our electronic database, and selling policies to new prospects and existing customers by using a proven consultative sales approach.

  • Additional GLIC administrative work as assigned. Potential for project or program work as assigned.

Qualifications

 
  • Must be licensed in life & health insurance.

  • Must obtain licensing in other 50 states plus District of Columbia within timeframe set by the Company and maintain licenses while employed in this position.

  • Proven ability to work a variable schedule including evenings, Saturdays and some Company Holidays.

  • Willing and able to adhere to procedures, rules of conduct in a fast paced inside sales environment.

  • 3plus years sales experience.

  • Demonstrated insurance industry experience and knowledge.

  • Proven experience in an environment of self-discipline and self-reliance to work without direct supervision.

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of successful sales techniques.

  • Demonstrated contact center experience and knowledge preferred.

  • Proven ability to follow a customized sales process.

  • Demonstrated bilingual competency considered a plus (English and Spanish).

  • Proven ability to learn and retain new information quickly and independently.

  • Must be highly effective and efficient with respect to behaviors that drive results on a consistent basis.

  • Proven strong desire to succeed with a track record of over-achieving sales targets.

  • Motivated by the ability to earn money.

  • Proven strong and accurate business English, verbal and written communication skills (grammar and spelling).

  • Proven excellent listening skills.

  • Demonstrated strong sales acumen with the ability to analyze and make decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently.

Additional requirements to be a Work at Home:

  • Associate is responsible to obtain and pay for high-speed internet and hard-wired telephone line.

  • Associate must meet high-speed internet requirements; speed test provided by company to ensure associate meets speeds.

  • All equipment is supplied by the company (Laptop, Monitor(s), desk phone, keyboard, mouse, headset.

  • Associate is required to have space in their home to utilize as an office, including their own desk to set equipment on.

Work Setting:

  • Office or work at home, if meets work at home requirements.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Computer Skills and Knowledge of Hardware & Software Required:

  • Excellent PC, data entry & word processing software skills.

  • Strong phone and computer skills.

Certifications & Licenses (i.e., Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.):

  • Life and Health Insurance License.

Position Demands:

  • Work flexible work hours including weekends, Saturdays and some Holidays.

  • Sitting 80-100% of the day.

  • 0-20% walking required.

  • On the phone continually.

  • Must be able to use a computer, phone, fax, copier, and other office equipment as required.

  • Works alone and around others (either virtually or in person).
